Dr. Bradley Mercer, MD is a board certified pediatrician in Fort Worth, Texas. He is currently licensed to practice medicine in Texas. He is affiliated with Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth, Cook Children's Medical Center, and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Downtown and Southwest Fort Worth.
Dr. Mercer has been in practice for over 20 years serving children and families with a wide variety of health needs. He sees patients from the newborn period throughout childhood, even bridging the gap between adolescence and adult medicine by seeing patients into young adulthood until they are ready to "move on" to the adult healthcare world.
Services offered in his office in addition to the typical preventative care and acute services include basic laboratory tests and in-office X-ray for minor injuries and for diagnostic evaluation. Comprehensive well child care, sports/school physicals, immunizations, hearing and vision screenings, and blood screenings according to the current recommendations by the American Academy of Pediatrics are performed daily during office hours. An excellent after-hours nurse call line is available for urgent, middle-of-the-night medical problems that can't wait until the morning hopefully saving many families the expense and inconvenience of an emergency facility visit. He has several other pediatricians in his practice as well as a pediatric-trained nurse practicioner so availability is rarely a problem. Also, the physicians are working to develop a virtual, online doctor visit platform for medical problems that don't require a physical presence.
Dr. Mercer grew up in Fort Worth and went to high school at Brewer High School. He attended Texas A&M University for college, then earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. After a three year pediatric residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, he and his wife moved to Fort Worth. They have two grown children, both in college. When not working, he enjoys running, hiking, traveling, and experimenting in the art of fermentation (home brewing).
